TTFB Checker

Measure any URL's time to first byte (TTFB) — how fast the server starts responding. Under 200ms is good. Free, instant, with a fast/average/slow rating.

Frequently asked

What is TTFB?

Time To First Byte: the delay from sending the request to receiving the first byte of the response. It reflects server + network + backend processing time.

Why is my TTFB higher here than in my browser?

We measure from a server with a cold connection and no local cache. Geography between our server and yours also adds latency. Use it as a relative baseline.
